In the week of 8 - 12 November 2010 is the national computer science competition "computer science-beaver" is performed. This is in Switzerland by the SVIA (Swiss association for computer science in training) organized and supported by the Hasler Foundation.
The competition could be used as an occasion to focus attention on the next competition further knowledge on the basics of computer science with the class. This provides a compass in the media Chapter 6: to "coded messages" and the program " Scratch" ( http://scratch.mit.edu/ ) could provide a good insight into the topic of computer knowledge.
